6 Months!!

Sofie and Jackson turned 6 months old a few days ago. We take them in for their 6 month check up next week, so I will post their stats later. Here is where we are at 6 months old...

Both babies:
-Sleeping anywhere from 10-12 hours straight at night.
-Taking at least 2, usually 3, naps per day.
-Love going for walks in their stroller.
-Are very sociable. They love to smile at and babble to people when we are out and about.

Sofie:
-Loves to roll around all over the floor.
-Loves her sleep - she is our champion sleeper. If it weren't for Jackson waking her up, sometimes I think she'd sleep all day!
-Can sit up briefly without support.
-Still loves to make farting noises with her mouth. This is always cute and funny, except for when she decides to do this while we are feeding her solids. She is a VERY messy eater!
-Loves her exersaucer.
-Loves to play with her feet and put them in her mouth.
-Is a very distracted eater... It doesn't matter if she is nursing or taking a bottle... If the house isn't absolutely silent, she won't eat.
-Is such a happy girl - smiles a ton!

Jackson:
-You can tell that he REALLY wants to crawl, but just can't figure it out yet.
-Grunts when he gets frustrated or antsy. When he first started this, we thought he was really constipated because it sounded like he was trying to poo! We finally figured out that he does this when he's frustrated!
-Loves his jumparoo.
-Is a fantastic eater... He does awesome with solid food!
-Can sit up wonderfully without support.
-90% of the time he is the first one up from naps and the first one up in the morning. Once that boy is awake, he doesn't go back to sleep (unlike his sister who is great at soothing herself back to sleep!). I can't complain, though, because he still sleeps pretty darn well!
-Although it hasn't completely disappeared, his spitting up isn't nearly as bad as it used to be.
-Is all BOY!

I really didn't plan for all of us to be wearing blue!
Snuggling with daddy.
In our overalls!

Sofie rolls everywhere... It doesn't matter if Jackson is in her way!
Toys are always more interesting when they are in a basket!

  1. Can you believe it's been 1/2 a year since they've been alive? Don't you just look at them every day and thank God for the wonderful gifts you were given? They seem to be doing really well and developing perfectly!
