Last month, we headed to Orlando to spend some time at Disney World. It was a fun trip and the kids loved the rides, the characters, staying in a hotel, and being with their friend, Joey. We went with our good friends, the Parsons, and stayed at one of the Disney resorts. It was 4 fun, busy days! We visited Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot (briefly). We also did a character lunch one day which was pretty fun. It was hot, but not as hot as it could have been. It rained most of the afternoons which really helped to cool things off. We decided that we'd take rain over the scorching heat any day. The kids were all pretty grouchy on our last day at Downtown Disney... I don't blame them... Turns out they all were coming down with strep!
The kids usually ask me every day when we are going back to Disney World, or randomly tell me, "I going to Disney World next week, k mom?" Or, "I wanna go back dere, mommy." They also have very creative imaginations and love to pretend like they are riding different rides or playing in Cinderella's castle. Also, Sofie insists on being called Cinderella a lot lately... "I'm not Sofie, I'm Cinderella!" She calls Jackson her prince. It's super sweet!

| It was basically a 25 minute ride in a Safari Jeep that takes you right by lots of different animals. I was worried that they would get antsy, but the kids really enjoyed it. |

| This picture looks insignificant but this shows a moment that is still cemented in Sofie's head. Fireworks. We were passing through the center of the park one evening and a show had just ended on the stage of the castle. We didn't know fireworks were coming as we passed through so there was no time to prepare the kids. Sofie FLIPPED out. The next day she didn't want to walk by the castle for fear of fireworks starting. She still reminds me daily that "There's fireworks at Cinderella's castle, mommy." |
