Thanksgiving 2011

We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Texas at Brian's parent's house. Jackson and Sofie enjoyed seeing Grammie ("Gam-ee"), Pappy ("puppy"), and Aunt Lisa ("auntie"). We were able to celebrate Brian and Mike's birthdays which is always fun since Brian and his dad share a birthday. I think the kids' favorite part about Texas was all the cacti. Yes, I am grammatically correct and called them cacti! The twins were always on the lookout for a cactus when we went for walks or explored the natural area between the house and the golf course. The quote of the week was, "Cactus, owie!" Our camera was getting fixed while we were in Texas, but here are a few pictures we stole from Grammie and Pappy's camera...

Sofie putting her baby doll in a cradle that belonged to Brian's grandmother.

I'm pretty sure Sofie is pointing and saying, "Cactus, owie!" Can you see all the cacti?

We had Christmas morning on Thanksgiving morning. Sofie and Jackson slept in their Santa pj's from Grammie and Pappy and got to blow up their log cabin to play with.

Sofie getting some loves from Grammie.

We got to go visit some of the Jindra's friends who have horses. Sofie loved petting the horse, but didn't want anything to do with sitting on him.

Brave little Jackson sitting on Charlie horse... And wearing his favorite rain boots.

Perhaps the biggest attraction of all was the riding lawn mower. Jackson and Sofie kind of have a little obsession with lawn mowers, so this was a hit.
